Specialized Training Programs
The Marshall County District Attorney’s Office is committed to equipping law enforcement officers with the knowledge and resources they need to better serve our community. We occasionally host specialized training sessions for local agencies, including topics such as domestic violence investigations and legal updates to help officers stay current with state and federal requirements.
Read Across America
The Marshall County District Attorney’s Office is proud to participate in Read Across America Week each year, sharing stories and encouraging a love of reading in local classrooms. This year, our team visited students in Guntersville and Albertville, reading to first- and second-grade classes and making special memories with our own children’s classmates. We value every opportunity to connect with young readers and inspire lifelong learning.
United Way Day of Caring
The Marshall County District Attorney’s Office is proud to take part in United Way of Marshall County’s Day of Caring each year. This event brings together volunteers from across the community to support local programs and neighbors in need. Last year, our team adopted the Marshall County Meals on Wheels programs at both the Guntersville and Grant Senior Centers, and we delivered essential baskets to Domestic Violence Crisis Services. Participating in Day of Caring is a powerful reminder of what we can accomplish when we work together to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
Marshall County Leadership Challenge
The Marshall County District Attorney’s Office is proud to support Marshall County Youth Leadership (MCYL) each year. District Attorney Jennifer Bray serves on the MCYL Board and helps plan the annual Law Enforcement Program Day, giving local high school juniors and seniors an inside look at law enforcement in our community.
We are grateful to the many law enforcement agencies who dedicate their time to this event and help inspire our future leaders. Investing in our youth is one of the most meaningful ways we can strengthen our community, and it is an honor to partner with MCYL each year.
In addition to the youth program, Marshall County offers an Adult Leadership Program that fosters connection, collaboration, and professional growth among community leaders. Several members of the District Attorney’s Office, including District Attorney Jennifer Bray, are proud graduates. The program provides participants with valuable insight into Marshall County’s many assets, including local government, healthcare, education, industry, and law enforcement. We are proud to support this initiative and its role in strengthening leadership throughout our community.
Domestic Violence Awareness Month
Each October, the Marshall County District Attorney’s Office joins with Domestic Violence Crisis Services (DVCS) and Kelley’s Rainbow to observe Domestic Violence Awareness Month. This national campaign is dedicated to raising awareness, amplifying the voices of survivors, and renewing the commitment to end domestic violence.
The annual ceremony is a time to hear powerful survivor stories, reflect on progress made, and recognize that there is still important work ahead. In 2024, our own Victim Services Officer, Beverly Bozarth, was honored with the Helping Hands Award for her dedication to supporting victims in our community. That same year, the Albertville Police Department also received the Helping Hands Award for their outstanding service and commitment to protecting vulnerable citizens.
As District Attorney Jennifer Bray shared during the 2023 ceremony, “Let’s pledge to continue our fight to end domestic violence. Let’s pledge to be vigilant in spotting the signs of abuse, to intervene when we suspect someone is being abused, and to support and empower survivors.” Our office is proud to participate in this important event each year and to stand alongside survivors, advocates, and community partners in this critical mission.
Child Advocacy Center: Protecting Children, Building Futures
The Marshall County District Attorney’s Office is proud to support the Child Advocacy Center of Marshall County and the vital work they do for children in our community. Pictured is our staff wearing CAC shirts in appreciation of the professionals who advocate for children and provide them with safety, care, and a voice.
April is Child Abuse Awareness Month, a time to emphasize the importance of protecting children and standing with those who work every day to keep them safe. Each April, the CAC hosts its Rock the Block fundraiser and awareness walk. This one-mile walk through downtown often includes live music, family activities, and opportunities to support the CAC’s mission.
