July Employee Spotlight: ADA Roxana Lopez
This month, we are proud to recognize Assistant District Attorney Roxana Lopez.
Roxana knew from a young age that she wanted to attend law school, though she wasn’t always sure that dream would become a reality. Through hard work and determination, she achieved that goal and has been serving the citizens of Marshall County since joining the Marshall County District Attorney’s Office in August 2023.
Roxana primarily handles felony drug cases, along with District and Traffic Court matters. Last year, she expanded her responsibilities to include domestic violence felony cases. Her dedication to seeking justice, advocating for victims, and serving the citizens of Marshall County makes her an invaluable member of our team.
A native of Crossville and now a resident of Albertville, Roxana attended Jacksonville State University before earning her law degree from the University of Alabama School of Law in 2020. She is married to Miguel Chavez, and together they have one daughter.
Outside of the courtroom, Roxana enjoys spending time with her family, being active in her church, and traveling. She and her husband have visited more than 16 countries together. She is also a devoted Alabama football fan and a proud graduate of the 2026 Marshall County Leadership Challenge.
Roxana brings intelligence, energy, compassion, and enthusiasm to everything she does. We are grateful for her service and proud to have her as part of the Marshall County District Attorney’s Office team.
